At the Forum, Obama Looked Tired and Worried, McCain Looked Energized.

The Forum last night was a lesson in contrasts, not only in the candidate's positions and demeanor, but on energy level. I was amazed at the lack of energy from the "young and vibrant" Obama, just back from a vacation in Hawaii, compared to his energized elder, McCain who's been charging away on the campaign trail!

The contrasts were huge...the ramblings while searching for a thought from Obama, against the decisive, thoughtful answers from McCain. I had a hard time staying awake for the first hour, but was re-energized when McCain appeared.

It was painful to watch the inexperienced child up against the wise war Hero. The contrast of the sleepy child looking like he needed a nap, trying to stay focused, was ironic, considering the left has labeled  McCain too old to run for president.

I think Obama needs to go back to Hawaii for another couple of weeks.

Is Radical Liberalism Endangering America?

We are witnessing exactly why the Pelosi/Reid/Obama/moveon.org radical liberalism is endangering America.

As Russia shows aggression toward Georgia, talk of dangers to the world supply of oil rears it's ugly head. The radical left's approach to drilling for our own oil is revealing the absolute ignorance of the left. To not drill now is suicidal, because our national security is at stake. The future is completely unpredictable as we are seeing with the developement in Georgia.

Without oil, we have no transport for everything critical to maintain life, such as food and medicines for starters, not to mention the need for oil for military use in the protection against aggression, and yet the left wants to convince us that we can live without oi!. The radical left is endagering our country, and this cannot be tolerated. It is time for action to begin drilling for our own oil NOW.

King Obama's Plan for Huge Tax and Government Expansion/ Limitation of Freedom.

The future Obama "sees" for America: Every American being "required" to drive the cars HE wants them to drive,  citizens being "required" to use less energy,  companies being "required" to do what he tells them to do. So much for "we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights"...in Obama's America, our rights will come from the Government's dictates, with him in charge.

He asks "Why is that?" that "talking about our energy problems" hasn't materialized into action over the last three decades? Why is that, Mr. Obama... gee, I wonder...could it be the radical environmentalists that have controlled the Democrat party for the last three decades?

He quotes TBoone Pickens saying we are in a problem we can't "drill our way out of", ignoring that TBoone said we need to drill, develop nuclear power, wind, and ALL sources of energy NOW, including ANWAR!

Obama's future for America is: Punishing the oil companies that provide oil for our freedom; growing the power of unions; punishing the citizens of this country by eliminating freedom (through higher taxation and government dictates), and in general forcing his socialist demands on the American people from his throne on high.

It seems we aren't smart enough to change our own life style to adjust to the changing economy, and American ingenuity isn't enough to develop new sources of energy. Only Government can do it for us. We need a King to lead us.

Nancy Pelosi Flies Out of Wahshington In Her Private Jet While Thumbing Her Nose at the American People.

While Republicans in the House try to get the lights back on to debate the need for domestic drilling, Pelosi (after attempting to shut down the House), is whisked away in her private jet, no doubt, toward one of  her lovely wineries in the gentile hills of Northern California, while we serfs (who pay her salary) continue to call her office to get her to do her job, and remove the moratorium on offshore drilling, and ANWR.

This is what we get from the leftist Speaker of the House now in the majority, who is supposed to be doing the people's business.

Nancy, pick up your phone! You won't be relaxing much while you are away, because you will be getting a lot of phone calls, and  bad press. Who do you think you are trying to shut down debate on behalf of your employers, the American people?

How About Congress Requesting an Apology From the African Countries Who Sold Their People Into Slavery?

I would like to make a request of  Congress:

First: Stand up and ask for an apology from Africans for selling their brothers and sisters into slavery to nations all over the world, some where slavery still exists today.

Second: Challenge all nations that currently practice slavery to free all slaves, and end slavery now.

Next, how about an official "thank you" on the floor of the House and Senate for the thousands who sacrificed, and shed their blood in the Civil War to end slavery? Wasn't that enough?  How about a word of praise to Americans who never owned slaves, and spoke out against slavery?

How about a word of praise for a country where you can achieve your greatest dream, such as Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States of America, Secretary of State,  Congressman or Congresswoman, Governor,  Mayor,  Police Chief,  lawyer, doctor,  radio talk show host,  TV show host, columnist, journalist, basket ball star, movie star, community planner, whatever you can possibly dream to be...regardless of the color of your skin.

How about the House and the Senate praise Abraham Lincoln, who signed the Emancipation Proclamation?

How about a word of praise for  those who peacefully stood for civil rights, and have been role models of character and responsibility in their communities?

How about a word of praise for President George W. Bush, who has appointed more blacks and minorities to high positions in his administration than any other president?

How about a statement from Congress of love of country, a flag waving moment of gratitude, a hand over the heart moment of  praise to God for having granted them the priviledge to live in a country where people of all colors have risked death to reach her shores.

May I be so bold to make that request of the Congress?

What the "Experts" Don't Get About Obama's Low Poll Numbers.

In my humble opinion, the "experts" have totally missed the essential reason why Obama isn't resonating with the public in terms of the presidential race.

Obama looks like a typical errogant sports figure or Hollywood star (who takes himself far too seriously) traveling around the globe spouting politically correct leftwing platitudes, with the lapdog media in tow. The Media have actually succeeded in their goal, making Obama a "rock star", but to their surprise, I believe, it has shown he is definitely NOT presidential material. It's funny, and ironic, and the talking heads have totally missed this.

McCain looks like a presidential candidate who has wisdom about how to run a war and a country, and deal with the democrats in the House and Senate. He has reasonable ideas about the energy crisis, he is mature enough to change his views on the issue, due to the current high cost of fuel, our obvious and dangerous dependence on foreign oil, and he is in step with the majority of the American people on this.

In addition, McCain has a sense of humor. Unlike the "experts" negative analysis of his TV appearance at a German restaurant (while the globe trotting Obama spoke in Berlin), and McCain's visit to the town of Bethlemem here in the US, (while Obama was over in Israel praying at the great wall), I believe McCain's "strategery" was quite smart.

So, this is the way I see it, and I believe I am right, and the "experts" are wrong, and they may be very surprised come November.

Borama,an Embarrassment in Berlin.

The Bore managed to throw in his little knock against his own country while making his non-newsmaking speech to a bunch of rock fans, after a concert.. He is an embarrasment to our country.

This man is so non-presidential, it is simply amazing he has made it this far in this campaign.

My prediction is he will be completely rejected in November, and the elitists on the left will be scratching their heads.

America is not ready for an anti-American to run the country.

Good night sleep well I bid you all farewell. Good niiiiight! ZZZZZZZZ

It's "Hypothetical"?

Katie Couric managed get the dem nominee to blurt out what he really thinks about the successful surge in Iraq...it's "hypothetical".

The "brilliant one" has no idea what would have happened if the military had " implemented HIS plan"...ie, cut and run.

The Sunnis diciding that they had had it with the terrorists; Iraqis cooperating with our brave troops to "out" the bad guys; the "sons and daughters of Iraq" bravely joinning the fight, and the brilliantly executed plan by General Patreus with the military working all aspects of the plan with professionalism and courage, well...it's all "hypothetical", according to the all knowing one.

This man who was no more than a "community planner" appears to believe himself to be the one who can unify the world by his words. Israel and the Pestinians will miraculously have peace, the Palestinians will recognize Israel, Iraq will become a model of tribal unification, and we will usher in the Age of Aquarious...

McCain's superiority and experience as a candidate is glaringly obvious. This could be the defining moment in the campaign.

Another Safe Independence Day.

As I watched the fireworks celebrating another Indepence Day, I couldn't help but go back to Sept. 11, 2001. I thought of the lives that  ended that day. I thought of the brave firefighters and volunteers who risked their own safety for the lives of others. I thought of the heroes who signed up to fight terror after 9-11, who are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan to make sure this country remains safe. I thought of those who will never come home.

Another Indepence Day to enjoy freedom. And who do we thank? Not the democrats in the House and Senate, not the media, not the elitists carrying their peace signs, not the Supreme Court who gives unlawful foreign combatants  the same rights of American citizens in court.

Personally, I thank God for giving us a president who understood the challenge and  took it on, regardless of those who would impugn him for their own aggrandizement, to the detriment of the country, and to the benefit of the enemy . I thank the excellence of our military for a professional and outstanding job, and  I thank their families who stand behind them and support them.

To those who have criticized our Commander and Chief, hope you have enjoyed the freedoms he has worked to protect.

God bless America, God bless President Bush, and God  bless our troops.

Qualifications Should Trump Race or Gender.

The media is going nuts over the Dem nominee, the first black to be in this position. Race is a big issue to the libs, because they focus on the color of skin rather than the content of character, or the qualifications of the individual. If he were a conservative, the media would not be impressed. If Condi were the Republican nominee, it would be ho hum for the media and the left.
What about the character issue? What about qualifications for the highest office in the land and the most critical position on the world stage? To liberals it is all about symbolism over substance. Surprise!

Pushing Back the Darkness.

This weekend at church the message was about pushing back the darkness in the world, and our responsibility as Christians to hate evil and fight it with everything we have, with love for those who are evil's prisoners.

The message focused on the slave trade of children in countries where they are held, and sometimes offerred even by their own parents to those who would use them in horrendous, perverted and disgusting ways. Innocent children, being sold for money to those who have no conscience, mostly American men who go there to prey on innocent children.

For years I have seen the slide downward in our own country, due to the proliferation of porn and the turning away from modesty, and common decency. As Christians we must work to rid our own communities here in this Nation of the filth that fuels the apetite for indecent acts against innocents, and speak out against this evil in our own communities.

We must speak out agaisnt countries who allow traficking of children. In this evil world we must continue to push back against the darkness. And it must include our own back yard.

The Boys of Summer Have Returned...

Baseball is again being watched and enjoyed by millions of Americans.

As I watched Dubia throw out the first ball at the new ball park in DC, I found my mind  wandering to the future, to Spring of 2009. I pondered what better way to ruin this wonderful tradition, than a pantsuited President Shrillary throwing out the first ball!

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the park...

Stupid is as Stupid Does...

Rush continues to make a fool of himself thinking he is outwitting the left with his operation dumb and dumber.

Doesn't he realize that doing what the dems do doesn't elevate the political process, it only makes it more murky? Why should we lower ourselves to the tactics of the left? This will probably come back to slap him in the face. When has it ever paid off for those on the right to lower their standards? I don't care if the Left does it! The Left gets away with all kinds of stuff the right never does! And we shouldn't play their pathetic games!

Being Conservative means not doing what Liberals do! Conservatives are always complaining when the GOP isn't conservative, and Rush is the biggest complainer of all! When have Conservatives ever gotten away with nefarious behavior? Though I know many here on TH think this is fine, I think it stinks.

It's Spring!

Echoing from my other blog at "Moments"...another Spring! The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and it is warm here in sunny Southern California! Today people all over the world celebrate new life and the glorious resurrection of Christ!

My husband and I drove down to San Diego to celebrate our anniversary this past week, and we noticed colorful wild flowers had replaced the charred hillsides, where not too long ago they were blackened and desolate after the firestorms had destroyed all life there.
It was a welcome and cheerful contrast from our previous trip to one of our favorite destinations, Coronado Island.

Where there had been dead trees and plantlife, flowers had sprung up, and the hillsides had burst into brilliant, vinbrant color! I felt like singing! It was a reminder that God put there...to bring to mind how He makes all things new! Christ conquered death, and offered life, to all who would receive it!

Spring! A glorious picture of God's gift of life!

Ditto?

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Rush telling Republicans in Texas to vote for Hillary! What is he, God? Trying to manipulate the elections in the United States of America? As Hillary said "watch out what you wish for, Rush". It is the lowest point of his career, IMO. He will truly look like a fool if Hill becomes president.

When I first heard Rush, he was saying the things I was thinking, and it was so great to have a voice! I was sick of the one sided MSM, and to have someone expressing my thoughts as "equal time" was fantastic...now he has begun to "tell" people what to do and what they should think if they are conservatives. Too bad.

Times have changed. Now there are many radio hosts around the country who are "equal time" to the MSM's propaganda, and frankly, Rush has been disappointing to me. In my opinion, he has fallen for the adulation of the "dittoheads", and has become an arrogant fool. He has now become his own echo chamber, as the MSM has been for all these years.

We have a very critical election ahead of us, and after all the bashing of everyone on our side, the left now has all the tools they need to use against our nominee. Sure, I would have loved to have a Reagan clone, but history doesn't always cooperate with my desires.

Since my pledge to my country and my God is to do my best while I'm on this earth to fight the good fight, I will vote for McCain in November, though he is not Reagan, and I will pray that God will spare our country from a socialist government who's goal it is to take away the liberty that He endowed to each of us.

May God bless the United States of America, and may we still say in years to come "In God We Trust".
