Looking at America's future based on the current debate over the war, who's lying, who is corrupt, how the world sees us, where the country is headed, and who really controls the reigns of power... from my perspective it looks rather precarious. The Libby charade gives us a clue. I'll explain a little later.
Rush made an interesting point on his show today, which I believe is dangerously true. The Left has managed to lock in their control and power regardless of elections. They control education, the media, and Hollywood. These are powerful propaganda mediums.
Because of the career holdovers in the Pentagon, the State Department, and other critical Government Departments which are not elected positions, as well as courts throughout the country, even when we win elections, the Left has the power to sabotage, persecute, prosecute, and obstruct , without ever having to win at the polls! They can attempt sabotage from behind the scene, with impunity.
Look at all that has happened since Dubya won the White House. It began with the trashing of the computers and removing the W's from the keyboards, done by Clinton holdovers, which was just the beginning of the sabotage of this administration from within.
After 9-11, the anti-Bush propaganda began in ernest. The media chimed in with the Left on the "Bush lied people died" mantra, while the print media published classified documents leaked from inside the government, by the Clinton holdovers out to sabotage the war on terror, and the Bush presidency.
Now, regarding the Libby case. The Vallery Plame "outing" story was another fraudulent set- up by the Clinton holdovers, in the continuing witch hunt to get Rove, Cheney, and ultimately Bush, and since they couldn't do that, they settled for Libby, and in the media the spin goes on with the push for more investigations.
It seems to me, that the Left has trumped America. A BBC poll released yesterday shows that America is now one of the top three most feared countries on the globe. The MSM, Pelosi, Reid, and the blame America first crowd must be happy indeed. It seems they have succeeded with their propaganda.
My question is, can we get our act together in 08? It is going to take a huge victory, a landslide in both Houses of Congress, and winning the White House as well.
And if we do, will we be able to overcome the stranglehold that the career holdovers have on the reigns of power, or, has the Left indeed finally trumped America?
